Really great to see everyone sharpening their pencils and getting stuck in with a healthy drawing practice for 2020. Always inspiring to see the progress of returning artists; a conscious cultivation that initiates growth. It becomes a form of meditation – a kind of routine that builds into a personal portfolio of growth, a kind of creative chronology.
It’s a weekly thing, we only stop for the festive season, and it’s a well received and relaxed couple of hours of life drawing, sketching a nude or nudes, chatting to local artists and chilling in the Little Man’s very quiet vault.
Tuesday just gone saw our newest model, Emma, rock up to Little Man for a two hour session of life drawing. This is on of our weekly turn up and sketch, no need to book sessions (the other is on a Sunday afternoon) and it’s informal and fun atmosphere has endeared it to the regulars and thrills the newcomers 🙂
Flatholm is an island situated a short distance from Cardiff Bay. It’s clearly visible from Penarth along with it’s sister island Steepholm. Andy booked sole use of the island for an art residential and some get away from it all fun for a weekend at the end of August 2015.
