Virus…

We encourage you all to continue drawing and when we are allowed back in contact with each other we’ll be delivering a series of special events and offers, not to encourage you to get back out with us, we don’t think there’ll be much need for that, but to celebrate the wonderful community of artists that we have become.

Sunday 15 March 2020

A pair of giggly friends came for the first time, one a seasoned creative, the other a total newbie, exploring this discipline, totally inexperienced; sometimes it requires as much much bravery on the part of artist to see themselves move through the creative process as it does the model to allow themselves to be seen unfiltered.

Happy Naked People

A rather excellent 3rd year film student studying at the University of South Wales, Anna Korecka, got in touch with us and after getting to know us and attending a few sessions of life drawing a plan began to hatch. A good while after our first contact Anna was back in touch and she had done an amazing thing, securing support from the BBC and winning one of four student documentary film slots!

JJ’s Tuesday Life Drawing

JJ is one of the organisers of the group and she attends mostly all Sunday and Tuesday sessions, on hand to stand in if a model gets delayed or can’t make it. On this occasion however she was planned in as it’s rare to get a no show nowadays, all Cardiff Life Models being the absolute essence of reliability 🙂

Animalistic Andy!

Animals can be difficult to work with, along with children, as the saying goes, but Andy did well, keeping the broad selection of wild beasts under control. Delving deeply into his method acting processes and delivering a tour de force of earthy, visceral and startlingly real animal poses, the assembled artists will be drawing on this session for inspiration for some time to come 😉
