The Arts Council

The Arts Council have made a verbal apology to me regarding my complaining of the Arts Council giving grant funding to start up business that impact upon existing business’ incomes. When I pursued this in a formal manner, hoping to encourage the Arts Council to be clearer and fairer and considered , they refused to engage further but instead directed me to their formal complaints procedure.

Animalistic Andy!

Animals can be difficult to work with, along with children, as the saying goes, but Andy did well, keeping the broad selection of wild beasts under control. Delving deeply into his method acting processes and delivering a tour de force of earthy, visceral and startlingly real animal poses, the assembled artists will be drawing on this session for inspiration for some time to come 😉

10 Years Of CLMC!

Yes, we’ve been around for 10 years! That means about 1000 life drawing events delivered directly by ourselves and many many more delivered to individual artists and schools and colleges from Chepstow in the east to Swansea in the west, Cardiff in the south to Bala in the north…

From The Model

Really great to see everyone sharpening their pencils and getting stuck in with a healthy drawing practice for 2020. Always inspiring to see the progress of returning artists; a conscious cultivation that initiates growth. It becomes a form of meditation – a kind of routine that builds into a personal portfolio of growth, a kind of creative chronology.

Tuesday’s Life Drawing

Tuesday just gone saw our newest model, Emma, rock up to Little Man for a two hour session of life drawing. This is on of our weekly turn up and sketch, no need to book sessions (the other is on a Sunday afternoon) and it’s informal and fun atmosphere has endeared it to the regulars and thrills the newcomers 🙂
