Josh and Kally of Capital FM got in touch and Andy visited the Capital FM studios in Cardiff Bay… This was the result 🙂
Why would somebody want to be a life model? Is the job simply being paid for being naked?
Andy received an email from a photographer looking for a model to make her way to Newport for some light painting and this is the result of that collaboration.
We gathered at our usual Tuesday evening life drawing venue, Little Man Coffee Company in the centre of Cardiff and set up the room for that evenings session.
In November of 2015 and May of 2016 models from Cardiff Life Model Collective were called in to perform self tests for irregularities on breasts and testicles with a doctor talking the presenter through the process.
Andy was asked to take part in the Wynne Evans show on BBC Radio Wales as the mystery guest.
A spectacular and very unusual exhibition of life drawings. These drawings are compiled from a group of artists who meet weekly to work with a live model to explore the nature of the human form. Diverse artists between the ages of 16 – 85, from South Glamorgan will show and sell their work on the main walls of venues throughout South Wales in Bridgend, Cardiff and Newport from June to August 2015.
One group of artists in Cardiff proves this theory, with everyone from IT consultants to undergraduate students taking part in life-drawing sessions above a local arts bar.
I hate to be a prude, but life drawing was without a doubt, the most awkward moment of my life to date. Even falling down the back of a stage in my high school fashion show, on opening night, in front of a live audience, doesn’t compare to this experience.
